Our client is currently seeking a Chief Geologist (Coal) for a project in Australia
Responsibilities:
- Design and implementation of exploration programs
- Application of geophysical and other appropriate techniques for data acquisition
- Resource modeling and estimation
- Application and optimization of proprietary UCG site selection criteria
- Manage all geological data
- Provide geological support to ongoing operations including management of all drilling activities and advice on geological matters
- Manage research and development programs
- Perform audits and reviews for quality compliance
- Geological modeling, reserve/resource estimation, validation and reporting
- Maintain Health, Safety and Environment standards in compliance with the systems on the mine
- Ensure the ongoing growth and development of the team by providing leadership, mentoring and feedback on overall performance and operational responsibilities within the team. Ensuring a competent, professional and effective environment


Requirements:
- Relevant Bsc degree in Geology or related discipline
- Minimum 10yrs experience in coal exploration & resource modeling (open cut)
- Experience in MS Office Suite and Mining software such as Datamine
