Environmental Engineer – Iron Ore Mining – GM342

The successful applicant will be responsible for completion and management of the Environmental aspects of the Iron Ore operations in a remote area of Mongolia.

Responsibilities
• Obtaining project environmental approvals, including liaison with consultants and coordinating site visits
• Undertaking site assessments and clearances for mining and exploration activities
• Selection and management of contractors and consultants for collection of baseline environmental data and preparation of permitting documents
• Maintain and implement Environmental Management Systems Manage a range of site related activities such as monitoring, sampling, data analysis and data reporting
• Preparation of the annual Mine Management Plan, including site water management plans, and amendments

Requirements
·         Qualified Mining / Project Engineer/Surveyor/Consultant
·         Minimum of 10 years experience in the Engineering field.
·         Multiple Resource experience but must have had Coal experience 
·         Knowledge of the following Engineering disciplines: Mine site design & Modelling, Financial modelling, Budgets, Cost Control
·         A detailed understanding of mine site Engineering and project management
·         Leader who understands the contribution of the Teams
·         Ability to work on own initiative
·         Flexible approach to problem solving
·         Ability to lead a team of local personnel.
·         Be willing to work in Mongolia on a residential status, with travel to Sites on a frequent basis

My client is an energy and resources developer, with operations and investment over Mongolia and China. Currently seeking an Operations Director for their project in Mongolia

Responsibilities
·         To maintain and oversee all Field Operations and Engineering design and compliance of the current mine facility.
·         To develop operational and Engineering standards, policies and procedures and to ensure that all operations are operating in line with the legal parameters of the countries in which we operate.
·         To ensure that all engineering policies of the company are been complied with at all levels of the business.
·         The compliance to international standards must be adhered to at all times.
·         Overall responsibility for the mine site safety standards’ and company compliance to these policies.
·         Planning and budget reports and compliances within the group standards.       
·         Ensuring that all employees performance management objectives and key result areas are been managed.
·         Overall management of staff within the site departments.
·         Building and maintaining good working relationships with the departments and stakeholders
·         Assist in ensuring project budgets are closely managed, monitored and accurately reported.
·         Assist in formulation and management of project execution strategies.

·         Ability to lead a team of local personnel.
·         Be willing to work in Mongolia, with travel to UB on a frequent basis Rotation 6/2
·         US dollar salary, flights medical and life Insurances + 10% Bonus
